I don’t have Sirius xm so when I saw it was on the plane I didnt have to wait long to hear “Problem”. Kind of a thrill really…
Then they played a song co written by a producer Erin and I just had a great writing session with, Frequency. His song “do you ” by Iffy the badman.
Pretty cool until my son pegged the guy in the photo in the head with his plastic horse

yup, with no record deal (ummm…so what apparently) Erin Bowman’s single “Problem” has been added to the Sirius/XM radio playlist on the 20on20 Top 40 channel.
kinda funny when A&R’s, other producers and industry peeps tell me to my face it doesn’t sound like a “hit” or what’s on the hot 100…and then radio programmers go ahead and add the single anyway.
and since this is just a little indie single, PLEASE email Sirius/XM and ask them to play “Problem by Erin Bowman”. We REALLY REALLY do appreciate your support!!!!

so if ya know me, you know i’ve been searching for a LONG time for the right place to land to make my lil’ toonz.
I found this lovely production room at Engine Room Audio, and I’m super happy.
I also get access to their massive SSL/Live room for band projects.
feels good to be settled finally:)

sweat.
my friend Craig Dreyer and I have been making music together in some form or another for (gulp) over 20 years. We have a sick sense of humor. But this sums up a difficult mix pretty well i’d say:
while this is obviously humorous, Craig is a total pro…massive knowledge of music, sound, engineering, vintage gear and decent pastrami.

attend, live, learn, enjoy.
first showcase I went to was at SOB’s, sort of “Teen Pop/Hip Hop” event https://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=299710123387791
my hopes were high for this one as I love a good piece of candy. people were doing their thing, but I’ll never understand two guys pressing buttons on laptops and mpc’s to pre-recorded music, acting and grooving like they’re jimi hendrix or something.
the treat was rapper Skyzoo (who I first heard on Statki Selektah’s “100 Proof” album) made a guest appearance with Smoky Robotic. but canned music gets old quick, so I bolted right after.
I went to the bowery hotel and caught one song by The Duke Spirit. Leila Moss’s voice is a standout for me.
Then what’s supposed to happen at dumbass music festivals happened: I caught a really entertaining and raucous band I’d never heard of, The Silent Comedy. complete with 19th century clothing and mustaches, banjo and rock and roll. catch them live, i haven’t heard their albums yet.
I’ll hit a couple more shows today, but I’m jammed up working on an amazing 5 minute film with a director i really really admire for a commercial project.

6 songwriters, 3 producers, 1 singer, 1 rapper. um…yes this was more like a motion picture release than a track.
I wanted to take Erin Bowman into new, slightly darker territory on this one. We brought in Long Island rapper LD to bring some extra fire on this one, and she scorched it. There are those who wish they could rap, those who think they can rap, and then there are those who can SPIT. LD (short for Lyrical Dime) finessed this. enjoy….
