new music composed for “Dror for Tumi” campaign
In late fall 2011 I was asked by brilliant photographer/director Erez Sabag to work on a very special project. A series of web film/ads for a new line by top luggage company Tumi.
The line was designed by the world renowned, cutting edge designer, Dror. His innovative approach to design has revolutionized the way everyday products are put together in form and function, and he’s done so for huge companies from Target to Puma to Levi’s.
The films have no voiceover, so the challenge Erez and Dror gave me was to write music that captured the spirit of the design in a modern, artistic way while supporting, and at times pushing along, the picture. The music had to push the boundaries of “pop” music the way Dror’s designs push the design boundaries of everyday items.

it was amazing to be asked by an artist i deeply respect to collaborate on a project. Erez Sabag is a painter with film and photo. I wrote the music and much of the sound design for this web ad. enjoy!
